About
Juniper Play started as a shared notes file between three friends who kept arguing about which games were actually worth the storage space. At some point the notes got too long to fit in a chat, so we turned them into a site. There's no studio behind us and no sponsor telling us what to cover.,We pick games the boring way: we download them, play for at least a few hours, and only then decide if they're worth a full write-up. Some titles get praised, some get a shrug, and a few get politely warned about. Genre doesn't matter — we cover RPGs, racers, strategy, puzzles, whatever lands on our phones that week.,Most of our testing happens on mid-range Android devices and an older iPhone, because that's what most people actually use. We care a lot about how a game behaves when the battery is at 20 percent and the room is warm. Those details rarely make it into official screenshots.,If a review feels opinionated, that's on purpose. We'd rather tell you what annoyed us than pretend every game is a nine out of ten.
