Emberfall Chronicles

Emberfall Chronicles is a proper mobile RPG with a branching story, a party of odd companions, and turn-based combat that rewards planning. The writing surprised us — characters remember your choices and bring them up chapters later, which is rare at this scale.

Combat uses a timeline system where you can see turn order and plan around it. On a phone the menus could feel cramped, but the devs added a landscape mode and larger buttons in the accessibility settings, which helped a lot. Battery life is the trade-off here; expect heavier drain during long battles.

It's a commitment, not a snack. If you enjoy reading and managing a party, it's one of the better mobile RPGs we've played this year.
